Plump Dumpling review

Live down the block
Thought i would try it out...
.considering there is not good chinese in the area
(even the questionable mee noodle sp? burnt down two weeks ago. it that was medicore at best.

As for the quality- i think the chicken dishes are very good. It is the best chinese you will find in that area. The sauces are nice and light but flavorful.
Even the basic moo go gai pan was lovely. who orders that? but my friend did....not very adventurous...but i gotta tell you it was not like normal starchy moo goo.this had fresh mushrooms, carrots, water chestnuts and the chicken had flavor! and i was not afraid to eat it.

The egg rolls are made fresh or at least tasted that way. (not the frozen kind i can assure you)

The egg drop soup with wontons was just ok. The wontons we not held together very well. The hot and sour soup is tasty enough. Gets to be to much about half way thru. But that is ok. It does the trick.
cause it is so hard to find a quality hot and sour soup.
Veggie Fried rice was awful. Loaded with oil so much in fact that it covered the roof of my mouth. yuck.

Yes you are correct, no dumplings review yet. They were not making shumai which is what i was in the mood for.

I'll try this week. They were making them homemade veggies dumplings when i got there...but it was to hot to stay.

stay tuned
