I just bought my first chunk of Plugra and I'm planning to make Christmas cookies with it. I'd like to make some plain butter cookies and decorate with icing/sanding sugar. Will icing/sanding sugar change the taste of the cookies? I've done some searches on the internet, and seen different ways of decorating with sanding sugar. What's the difference in adding sanding sugar before/after baking? Is corn syrup or icing better for sticking sanding sugar on?
