ok chowhounders, please have mercy on me...
months ago, my 'dear' hubby got tickets to an SFJazz event for THIS saturday, and he is only just now, as in RIGHT NOW, trying to find dinner reservations (yes, i hear the laughter now off in the distance...). as he began his search earlier this evening, he just couldn't understand why he was having such a hard time... "this is so weird, we've done this before?!" he says, meaning we've made dinner reservations 3-4 days before hand. "but dearheart, it's VALENTINES DAY!" i say to him, trying hard not to throw the sponge at him from across the kitchen. "So THAT'S whats wrong!! I had NO idea it was Valentines Day!!" he says in a tone that gives away his mild annoyance. It was all I could do to keep from throwing the full bottle of dish soap at him!
I full well expect to be heartily laughed outta this forum, and rightly so (for I know better), however I am hoping against hope that someone will take pity on me (and maybe even dear hubby), and send some recommendations my way. It's just the two of us this time and we'll take anything American/Seafood/Steakhouse/Italian somewhere near the SF Jazz Center.... PLEEEZE??!
I believe I hear him groveling to someone at Market Street Grill at the moment... Please opine...
