Playa Venice review

I first tried this place about 2 months ago. A nice neighborhood place run by Edgar and his wife Nina who helps out in the evening. My wife loves the fish tacos. The fish is sauteed and not fried so you can taste the fish and not breading. My favorite is the super burrito. It comes with 2 tortillas filled with lettuce, tomato, avocado, rice and your choice of meat. I tried the carnitas tonight which were the best that I have had in a long time. Not too greasy with a lot of flavor. It is topped with enchilada sauce, but I prefer the molcajete sauce. It is very filling and a real bargain at $5.95.
We have tried the tortas which are okay, but it is hard for us to stray from the fish tacos and the burritos. We really want to try the desserts but we never have room. One woman came in just for the flan to take home and it looked really good. They have a salsa bar with 4 different types and a display of various sweet breads.
If anyone else has tried this place and have some other recs for things to try, please post.
They serve breakfast however I don't know what time they open. They close at 10 everyday I believe. Good food and very reasonable prices.
