Planning for the year: Kansas City Food Festivals

vsoy | Jan 3, 2007 05:34 PM

Determined to be more organized this year, I'm entering fairs and festivals into my Microsoft Outlook calendar so I don't miss them. Can we start a list with festivals/fairs with dates, locations and websites (if they have them) or phone numbers? and any tips you wanna pass on!

Here's a couple of easy ones I never miss:
Early May- Brookside Art Fair (It'll be 5/4-5/6 in 2007)
63rd and Brookside, between Main and Stateline in MO
Ok, you're supposed to look at art, but there's all that food!

Early June- St. Dionysius Greek Festival(in 2006 it was 6/2-4)
8100 W95 st, OP
Except for last year, doesn't it seem like they are cursed with rain when they have their festival?

Early September- Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church(in 2006 it was 9/8-10)
12001 Wornall, OP
I like going late in the evening, no long lines and better parking. The expressline is the way to go during peak hours.

Third weekend in September- Plaza Art Fair (9/22-9/24 in 2006)
Plaza area
Instead of jockeying for a sticky table, I like to eat along Brush Creek.
