i am not planning to replace the dishwasher when it dies.

i would rather have the under counter space for trash cans, recycling bins.

as a single person, it takes me a week to fill it. no, i do not wash the dishes before putting them into the dishwasher. (that's a topic for another thread)

i plan to leave the hookups for the next owner of the house. this is my forever house so i don't have to worry about resale or pleasing the bank.

most everything i own cannot go into the dishwasher. the only thing that can go in are the pottery barn great white dishes and the gorham ribbon edge stainless. most of the time i am using fine china and viners 1920s EPNS, copper pots, calphalon, none of which are dishwasher safe.

i am a "wash as I go" person, and by the time dinner is over i only have the plate and spoon. double sided sink, one with hot soapy water, other side rinse water.

i also hate unloading the dishwasher.

is there anyone out there like me? probably not.
