Planning a Finland Meal

Autumm2 | May 31, 201811:26 AM     10

Back during the winter Olympics my first grader was randomly placed on Team Finland for her school's Olympics. Ever since she has been asking for a meal "like they would eat in Finland" I have no idea what a Finnish family would eat for a nice home cooked dinner, and the google wasn't very helpful related to home cooking. Any of the other countries would have been much easier food wise for me. (Germany, Norway, Korea, Japan)

Do you have menu suggestions based on either travel or family heritage? My husband was in Finland briefly in college but he claims he didn't eat much as it "was really expensive and I was seasick from the ferry" I just want to make my kiddo this meal as she is very excited about her Finland Meal
