My wife and I are planning a trip to Rome for our 10th anniversary next year. We are looking to go in the Spring (April - May), and stay 5-6 nights. We have never traveled international, so this will be a big step for us. I'm looking for any advice that can be given regarding flights, tour, hotels, where to stay in the city, how to best get around, etc. We love history and want to go on excursions, you can recommend tours of Rome, as an example I found this. There is also a chance we could try to see Florence while there, but I wanted to get Rome planned out first and see how many days it would take to really enjoy the city. Thanks for any tips.
