When do you plan dinner?

Puffin3 | Jan 14, 201506:50 AM     34

My morning routine is make my tea then spend an hour or so in front of the 'Leopard'.
A stop at CH is always a must.
This is when I start thinking about what to make for dinner. Over time I've seen lots of great ideas.
Thank you all.
When do you all start thinking about/planning dinner?
This morning I got an idea from a CH poster about using whipping cream in creamed corn.
Tonight's dinner will be thick medallions of King mushrooms gently sauteed in clarified butter. They brown beautifully and look just like small scallops. Definitely the King of mushrooms IMO. I'll take a couple of pork tenderloins and flatten them to about 1/4" thick. Cut them into about 3"X3" pieces. These will be cooked literally for only a few seconds on each side in the pan used to saute the mushrooms. The mushrooms and the tenderloins I'll cook just before plating. Ground black pepper after plating.
J. Robuchon's pureed mashed potatoes. Creamed corn niblets previously frozen. The cream will be whipping cream.
On a large hot white plate a ladle of creamed corn first. About a C of hot pureed mashed potatoes on top of the creamed corn. Half a dozen scallops (King mushroom medallions) and a couple of pork medallions arranged on the hot creamed corn beside the potatoes. Garnished with a pinch of very fine chopped chives.
