need a plan for the big easy!

Arriving Saturday morning and leaving Tuesday morning I have not had the time to do a ton of research into this trip, but i love food and know I probably wont be making it back to New Orleans anytime soon so help me plan my time there.

I dont know why, but The Joint BBQ has grabbed my attention and I love the idea of some AMAZING bbq at an out of the way that is one thing I have on my list. And I know Cafe Du Monde for beignets (which I probably spelled wrong) is a MUST...maybe go there when we get in on Saturday).

I think I need to be trying...shrimp and grits, gumbo, po'boys...what else?

Would love some recommendations on the foods I should be trying as well as where to get those foods. If I can figure out a really solid expensive place to eat then I will make reservations for one night, but will need to be more budget friendly the rest of the time.

Oh, and we are staying in the warehouse/arts district right near Chacon/Emerile's...not sure if those would be the best options for our "expensive" night out?
