just plain ole Cantonese food

What's your favorite for Cantonese, and Hong-Kong style Cantonese?

So far, for a Cantodeli, Wing Tin is my fave. I think it's Canto. My knowledge is not deep. Fried rice with salty chicken, fried whitefish with spicy salt, beautiful noodles, beautiful hot pot with taro and duck bacon, great BBQ.

I've been to... Lee Kum Lee? Lar Kum Lee? Har Kam Lee? On Garvey near Garfield. Really great fried tofu, but the other stuff is only decent.

I'm looking for: great black beans dishes. Great oddball fried rices.

And that elusive thing: sweet and sour pork, done not as an Americanized thing, but as the jewel in the crown of the thorn of the grail of Cantonese cuisine.

Also, fried fish.

Also, steamed fish.
