Places that serve good Spanish Paella?

KK | Oct 17, 200303:12 AM

Hope I spelt it right... I was wondering what some of you CH folks think is the best place (or places) for the wonderful Spanish Paella?

Waaay back in 1987 I had this killer dish for the first time at a place in NYC Greenwich Village. Had yearned to get something similar but to no avail.

One pretty good place I went to was Alejandro's (spelling) on Clement not too far from the 4 Star Theater. Unfortunately that place is no longer there.

I also had this dish at the Spanish errrr I want to say cultural center but I don't remember the name exactly. It is not too far from the Geneva exit off 280, but seemingly close to Alemany. Anyway it is next to Pacific Supermarket. Unfortunately the paella there wasn't too stellar, and was way too soggy much like a soggy and super oily risotto. :-(

Any help or recommendations would be gladly appreciated! Hopefully there are places in the Peninsula area? :-)
