Greetings from a Detroiter, all.
I'm heading down to visit my brother in Fayetteville tomorrow, and I'm wondering if there's anything in the south area that I absolutely must hit up. A couple of things to know:
1. Yes, I have been to The Varsity. And I even liked slaw dogs. So, no need to send me there.
2. Please don't recommend any places based on any dishes with cultured dairy products. No cheese, sour cream, cream cheese, anything like that. You may believe that you've tasted the very based dish of XXXX, but if the cultured dairy product is a major part of it, don't bother.
3. I'm open to just about any cuisine, but I can be a bit fussy about "filters" (liver, kidneys, etc.).
Don't worry too much if you can't think of anything...I can always just hit up Chick-Fil-A, since we don't have them up here, and I *love* me some CFA. I know all the objections, and I DO NOT CARE. Give me my MSG-coated, conservative-valued, wonderful-tasting chicken sandwiches, and I'll be happy.
Thank you in advance for any suggestions!
