We are having dinner on Saturday with friends who are in town for the weekend, but formerly resided in the South End. Group includes a vegetarian, a 10 year old who favors Italian, but will eat other things (loves salads), a 15 year old who favors burgers and pizza, and the remaining 4 adults who eat most things. Also, the 10 year old has a fish allergy, and eats at places like Legal and Skipjacks, since there are non-fish choices available, but Chinatown wouldn't be my first choice due to the language barrier, and the fact that fish ingredients may not always be obvious. Problem is there is a Red Sox game Saturday afternoon, and I'm having trouble thinking of a place where we can have a fairly leisurely meal, since they now live in Texas, and we seldom get to visit. We are flexible on time, but since there's a Sox game ending around 4, eating early may not help that much. I thought of Marche, due to its variety, and the fact that they don't rush you, but it's also hard with a group, as people are up and down, and not necessarily eating at the same time. I would appreciate your thoughts and suggestions.
