Went for opening night. They were serving blue point oysters, little neck clams on the half shell which were fresh and good. Also pretty decent crab cakes, and some other average appetizers. The star of the show was the burger, very nice. The place look great although it is way to clean. They had some toliet problems, both of the toliets on the main floor overflowed, the managers went nuts. They have kept the menu the same and the upstairs is very modern and does not really trancend with the old fashioned independent essence that PJ's used to convey. Timothy Hutton was there and is a part owner.
On a seperate note, Ed Koch was there and he told me that his favorite Chinese restaurant is NY Noodletown. Go figure!
