Pizzetta 211 in SF's Richmond District is now open on Monday nights. For 5 years they were closed on Monday & Tuesday. But recently they have added Monday nights to the mix. Now here's the twist: they're serving roast chicken! In addition to my favorite pizza in town, I have come to find one of the more interesting chicken preperations in SF. I have visited on Monday 4 or 5 times now & every week is a different preperation. They are serving a whole poussin. These little birds are about 1# each & are roasted to perfection! Each week something different is served with the bird. I have recognized a lot of the same people on my visits. Twice I have seen the owners of 'Quince" dining w/friends. I have a lot of friends in the restaurant biz & I've spread the word that if they have Monday night off, the chicken at Pizzetta is to die for! I dine out 3 or 4 nights a week & this chicken is something I look forward to(unless my girl has other plans)

Has anyone else discovered this Monday gem?

cheers,

LanceSF
