I was so excited to finally get my Roccbox pizza oven last week! We broke it in last night and had a great experience with it. For those not familiar with it, it's an insulated table top pizza oven that runs on propane or wood (both adaptors come with it) and it gets to 940 degrees Fahrenheit. So you can make true Neapolitan pizzas in under 90 seconds. You can also use it for cast iron cooking -- roasting veggies, cooking steaks, etc.

I am NOT an experienced pizza maker, so I bought dough at our Italian grocer. I need a lot more practice to stretch my dough thinner, and I really need to figure out how to gracefully get the pizza onto the peel. My first slide in the oven was perfect. My second was hilariously bad and resulted in a burnt mound of pizza and toppings in the oven. 3 and 4 were better. :) But trying and failing is half the fun. I can't wait to keep practicing and experimenting with the Roccbox.
The pizza in the picture is the very first one we made. I was really pleased with it for a first try! I didn't turn it fast enough and it got a little burnt on one side. But the overall bubbling and charring was really nice.
Right now, the only place to buy one is from their web site: https://www.roccbox.com/ It's a UK company and they ship to the U.S., but not Canada. They are pretty backlogged since Kenji's review came out. But it's beautifully and solidly built and really easy to use, so the wait was worth it.
