Can't remember if anyone's mentioned this pretty new place in JP, next to Zon's. It's just a little storefront with zero seats and a limited menu of 6 pizzas, some salads and 5 or 6 sandwiches, plus a few blackboard specials. They don't list separate pizza ingredients but I think they'd throw together anything you want. I went with a small sausage, roasted red pepper and caramelized onion ($9, it doesn't say caramelized on the menu), walked around waiting and went into Hi-Lo Market for the first time ever. There's a new cafe on the other side of Zon's called June Bug that's kind of cute, has good looking muffins and pastries and advertises bubble tea for you fanatics. A man picked up his pizza and was complimenting the guy on how great it was, the crust especially. The guy said it's the sesame seeds that make it but he couldn't give away any other secrets. So mine's ready and I couldn't believe it was a small, not a small in anyone's book. It was kind of free form and not jammed with toppings, but it really was a great crust. Maybe a little buttery, light and dark seeds which got a little much sticking on your hands and in your teeth. Thin, not overly cheesy, good sauce, pretty tasty. They had some great looking cookies for $1, I had a sample of their brownie which was good. The guy at the counter was very nice and it's definitely worth trying, even if you don't live in the area. If Phantom Gourmet were really on top of things, they would have had a super new place like this on that pizza show last weekend (and it might have made the Great 8).
