I know this subject has been done before but since new places are always opening and people are always trying new things thought I would bring it up. I live in Port Washington and have been unable to find good traditional neopolitan pizza within 10 minutes of my house.

There are plenty of places that have great speciality / brickoven pies - Ginos, Salvatores, Joannes, Rose's etc but what about a really great neopolitan pie? I have been traveling to Albertson for Cuigini and East Norwich for Saggio or even Emilios out in Commack if I am visiting family - all of which are too long of trips for an impromptu after work pie.

In addition to the Port Washington places mentioned above I have also ate DiMaggio, Franks and Carl's pies - all were average and unremarkable in my opinion. I would like to expand my search to Roslyn/Manhasset/Glen Cove - any suggestions? If you are unfamiliar with the places I mentioned above - my definition of a good neopolitan pie is one that is always made fresh (not reheated as people order pies), uses good quality cheese, a sweet sauce, is not too dry (meaning they use a reasonable amount of sauce), has that secret combiniation of cheese/garlic/oregano sprinkled on before it is baked, and doesn't have a crust that is too thick or buttery (like Sbarros).
