I'm heading to NYC for a couple of days and am planning a lot of great eating while I'm in town. I can handle most of the choosing myself (used to live there) but I do have one weird request. I've been tasked with bringing a couple of pies back home to Baltimore on the train and want the best pizzeria near Penn Station. I'm talking simple, old school, NY pizza. I used to work nearby and for convenience sake my coworkers and I would get pizza from the deli-pizza place downstairs which was fine but only if you know you can have great NY pizza any other time that you want, not as a once-in-a-blue-moon treat. So what'll it be? I know there's a place about half a block south of Penn Station on the west side of 8th ave that I used to like but I don't know if it's aby good these days.
