Pizza in Folsom: the Great ,the bad and the mediocre!

There are loads of pizza places in Folsom. There are not too many good pizza places in Folsom though. Some are really packed every night for no reason whatsoever and some hardly do any business yet have oustanding pies. So some one (and it looks like I just volunteered)needs to do a quick critique of all the choices for pizzas in town. Of course the chains will not be rated, We already know they blow.

Best pizza:
Roma's III. NY style pie. Perfect crust, fluffy at the edges yet thin and just the right amount of burnt on the bottom. LOADS of toppings. one time I took a bite and I counted (really not kidding here) 17 slices of pepperoni and salami that I was biting into...on one slice! Nothing canned at all, the veggies are cut on premises, the dough hand rolled and thrown. You have to use a fork to eat it.
There are three Roma's in Sac and all of them are among the best pizzas in Sacramento as far as I am concerned. (Zeldas, Luigis)

Runners Up:
Zinfandel Grill. Typical wood fired gourmet pizza. tasty but .....

Pizzeria Classico; great pizza. garlicy too. Very different type of pizza without going to the Zinfandel grill route.

Still Better than a Chain:

Mark and Monica's (Granite Bay) Pretty good pizzeria type pizza. great room, awesome sports bar.Not really generous (compared to Romas) with the toppings but they are okay. Nice thin crust too with just the right amount of doneness.

Family Pizza. Nice pizzeria type in family atmosphere.

The BAD.
And this is one of the most popular restaurants in town too, but I have no idea why. Chicago Fire. Great location, nice building and all but the pizza is terrible. I have tried it every way. they use canned veggies, the stuff is all cut into little teeny pieces too. the pizza is cut into squares and the crust is lousy. the deep dish pizza to me is indedible.
I have no idea why anyone ever returns to this place, yet it is packed every night while Roma's does hardly any business.
