We'll be college touring and arriving in Pittsburgh, in the Carnegie Mellon vicinity, on the night my son turns seventeen (a Tuesday evening).
He appreciates really good food (especially steak, Italian, Japanese, pan-Asian, maybe a seafood place that also serves steak, etc.). Perfect would be either a nice white-tablecloth restaurant or an edgier modern one as long as it has a welcoming vibe, just nothing formal or stuffy. I'd also like it to be one that serves "clean" (as opposed to heavily sauced) food. If they treat vegetables nicely (good salads, nice variety) so much the better. Thanks!
