Do you know?
Don't get me wrong, I love pistachio in all of its iterations, including ice cream (and sorbet if I could ever make it with pistachio).
But it seems like pistachio is a much more popular flavor in gelato form than in ice cream form. True, or am I imagining things?
Again, I'm not knocking pistachio gelato, but just curious why it seems to be more favored as a gelato than as an ice cream.
(As an aside, I used to adore the Thrifty's Pistachio Nut Ice Cream. When it was 10¢ a scoop, it was always Vanilla, Chocolate Chip, and Pistachio Nut, in that order, for me.)
