Not So Pioneer Woman?

Watched a few episodes yesterday for the first time.
I remember she has been mentioned here but I've never read any posts.
Not in any order:
She's taping the kitchen episodes from a location near her home right?
I found the 'vibe' somewhat 'Texas-White'.
I never saw any Blacks or Hispanics in the shows but maybe I wasn't looking hard enough.
Cooking button mushrooms in wine and a pound of butter for SIX hours puzzled me. I mean how much flavor can a button mushroom absorb and why?
The one thing that made me sit up was when she cut the roasted beef tenderloin.
She's right handed. She positions the tenderloin in front of her and proceeds to cut slices from the LEFT end of the tenderloin! As each slice is cut she takes away the slice and plates it and continues slicing to the right.
That my friends is plain weird.
Am I being too picky?
I do know had I got caught cutting a beef tenderloin that way when I worked in restaurants someone would have literally kicked my ass out the back door.
Maybe I've passed judgement too soon.
I'll check out some of her Youtube vids if there are any.
What do you all think?
Aside:
We watched a 'killemup' with Steven Seagal last night. Not really paying attention.
Comes a scene when the local bar is being destroyed. My wife sits up a yells at the screen "NO! NOT THE BOOZE!!!!!!" LOL
