Willamette Valley Wineries will be holding this years Pinot in the City in New York on April 14 at City Winery. So bummed that this event is being held 2 days prior to my trip to NYC! If you are a fan of Pinot Noir, I highly recommend this event. There will be 50 wineries from Willamette Valley in attendance. Tickets are only $75 and that includes all of your tastings (not limited) and light appetizers. I went to this event in Chicago in 2013 and discovered some great new wines. The link for the event is below.
Out of these, some of my favorites include (in alphabetical order, not order of preference)
Antica Terra- the owner, Maggie is super friendly and her all of her wines are pretty fantastic.
Adelsheim- usually all are sold
Anne Amie- I enjoy all of their wines, I do feel they are slightly overpriced but are all good.
Dobbes Family Estate- it depends on what they are tasting, I really enjoyed some of their library wines on our last visit to the Valley.
Domaine Drouhin- they also own a winery in France, I enjoyed my tasting at the vineyard in Oregon more so than I did at Pinot in the City so it will depend on what they are tasting.
Soter- I am a club member here and throughly enjoy all of their wines but their Sparkling Brut Rose is one of my favorites
Stoller- I am also a club member here. Their 2008 SV is my favorite. Their 2012 drinks well.
Other well known solid ones are Rex Hill, Ponzi, and Penner Ash.
If you go to this event I hope you enjoy! Cheers!
