Pine Tree Pub at Sugarbush Village - Thumbs down

thinks too much | Mar 22, 2011 12:51 PM

All winter I've been hearing good things about Pine Tree Pub. "Good place for what it does." So last Saturday night some friends and I decided to give it a go for burgers/sandwiches.

Terrible burgers. We ordered medium rare and got a well done hockey puck. Chicken pesto sandwich first came without the pesto mayo. Soggy fries. Once we commented to the server, that the food was not that great we couldn't find him again for the rest of the meal. We weren't rude, just not enthusiastic.

When I mentioned the meal to someone in the Valley they reported that their chef left last week, due to the end of the season. They were wondering what would happen to the food quality. Ski area will be open for another month, but if a place hasn't made its money by now, I guess it won't.

At any rate, don't bother with this place until they replace the chef. With mud season underway, that may be a few months.
