Pilgrimage to Pittsburgh

The hubby and I are headed to the 'Burgh for an extended Memorial Day weekend, visting Grandma in Fox Chapel, hitting Kennywood and of course, getting good eats.

Hubby went to CMU and places we have to hit are The O for dogs and fries, Pamela's for those scrumptious fried pancakes and Bloomfield Bridge Tavern for yummy Polish food. Hubby thinks Primanti Brothers is good and everyone here seems to love them so I'll give it a go.

We're looking for other chowish suggestions. Nothing fancy (we've got lots of that in Boston.) Also we eat our share of Asian, Seafood, Italian and Indian here so probably not looking for too much in that direction.

Any other recs for places we'll salivate over when we get back home? Just thinking about the O's fries is making my stomach growl. Any places to eat at or near Kennywood?

Also we'll be driving across that loooooong state of yours... any food stops to keep us going along the way? I've only made the drive once and all I can remember that it was incredibly long. I think we're taking 76. Extra points if suggestions involve BBQ. Good BBQ is tough to find around Boston.

Thanks!
