Pik-Nik BBQ Tarrytown

vinouspleasure | Jul 30, 201601:00 PM

stopped by pik-nik today for lunch, ordered 1/2 pound of brisket cut from the deckle. The brisket was terribly overcooked, fell apart, wet, chopped, not sliced. The few pieces of bark did have nice rub. After I ordered I noticed a brisket sloppy joe sandwich. I guess this style of brisket would fit that description. Definitely won't be ordering again.

pricing was hard to understand, my brisket was $10.50 for half a pound, very fair. But $9 for a sausage? $13 for a sandwich? $3.50 for a bottle of virgil's root beer?

I dunno, maybe my expectations are off, I saw a number of customers with two sausage links, brisket or pulled pork, three ribs and a side. Seems to me that's about a $60 bbq lunch...
