Pig ears for Asian broth?

I mean to make some Chinese soup dumplings soon (xiao long bao). Went to the local Asian market which gets in fresh stuff from Chicago on Fridays (it's quite a scene) and got a few pig ears along with chicken feet and some other things that I supposed might make a good stock.

But I've never dealt with pig ears before. These are fresh, for what it matters. Are they good for making a broth/stock?
