Want some pie in central CT? here you go!

masha bousha | Dec 2, 201404:58 AM     3

Hello my fellow chowhounders!! I came across a tip that I felt I needed to share with you. For Thanksgiving I have to bring some pies to my Aunt's house. I went looking for a pie source and found a decent one. Granny's Pies in East Hartford. I haven't been to the actual location but found on their website that they sell them at Highland Park Market. I sent my wife off to order a chocolate cream and key lime. She picked them up on the day before the holiday and everyone loved them.

I've read reviews of the place and they don't sound particularly friendly, they only take cash and have spotty hours...but if you can hit up one of the various locations of Highland Park Market, you can get some pies.
Oh and Granny makes probably 50 kinds of pies.

You're welcome!
