just dropped by picnic and sadly it was closed, doesn't seem to be an actual storefront either, but then walked into the grand central market and saw little menu pamphlets for picnic land. anyways, it sounds tempting, duck confit panini's, caviar, cheeses, tapas, and some varholhna chocolate truffles. anyone tried any of these, it sounds like they also have 2 dollars off most menu itames for its grand opening. now, on to grand central market, what's good here?
i know a few hounds mention previously a couple joints here that are truly delicious but i have no idea which ones. seems like a great market with out the high prices and more authentic seeming than the farmer's market on third and fairfax. the grand central even has a cool chinese diner complete with a U-shaped counter that serves up all sorts of chow mein and seems like it dates from the 1950s or 60s. this joint doesn't seem like it would be delicious just has an interesting character to it.
