Piccolo in Mineola - again

Scribbler | Apr 15, 2002 11:27 AM

I know I've posted about this before, and I want to state that I have absolutely NO connection with this place other than as a satisfied customer. Piccolo, on Jericho Turnpike in Mineola, is just great. Ate there last night, and my well-traveled and fairly sophisticated mother said it was the best Italian food she ever ate in a restaurant. They just do a great job, everything fresh and cooked perfectly. I always say with the quality of the food, they could make it a much fancier place, but it is casual, reasonable, and family-friendly. They were doing a decent business for a Sunday night, so this isn't a plea to help save a floundering jewel, I just wanted to remind everyone about how nice and how good this place is.
