Picante's Guac

Am I the only person who finds the Guac at Picante absolutely revolting? I like Picante in Berkeley. It's no destination, but they prepare reliable, tasty Mexican with Niman Ranch meats at a reasonable price. A few of the dishes (the flautas, the rajas) are particularly good and most of the menu is fine. But the guac is just awful. It tastes rancid and rotting like it's been sitting out in a tub, oxidizing for days. Yet I constantly see folks ordering it as an app and enjoying it. Here are my theories:

1) When you order an actual guac appetizer they make the guac fresh so it tastes different than the side of guac I get on my flautas plate.

2) I am so spoiled by making guac from fresh, Farmers' Market avocados in the peak of Summer that everything else tastes awful to me.

3) Everyone else is crazy

4) I am crazy

5) All of the above

Does anyone else have experience with the guac at Picante that they can share? Do you hate it? Do you love it? Are you indifferent? I'm really starting to wonder if #4 is the answer...
