On the recommendation of a friend, I tried a place on the Queensway, near Islington, called Piazza.
It was wonderful ! Went with a group of five, everyone had something different, and no one was disappointed.
Large selection of pasta's, many traditional and some I have never had before, ie, crespelle. The Veal Parm and Eggplant Parm were excellent, as was the Lasagne.
I had Gnocchi with goganzola cream sauce w/ fresh Spinach.hmmmmmm, had to stop myself from licking the plate.
We shared bruschetta, which was basic and a spicy italian sausage starter, which was served with rapini and white beans.
Dessert was a selection of tiramisu, apple spice torte, fresh fruit, and ice cream..heavenly.
They also have a cheese platter if sweets arent your thing. We all ordered off the menu, but some of the specials sounded very interesting; Roast Quail, Pheasant sausage, both served risotto as a side.
I will definitely go back, and soon.
