Ok, I am not too sure if the restaurant name is Pho Saigon (in Chinese characters I believe I am right). This is the new vietnamese place that opened under Golden Mountain on Bayard.
Anyways, I went for a quick take out and noticed a lot of people in the restaurant ordered pho. Though I wasn't in the mood for pho, I decided to try the spring rolls and pork chop rice vermicelli dish(Bun Thit Cha Gio).
It wasn't a transcending vietnamese meal but my impression and that it is rather mediocre (but a lot better than some vietnamese places in Chinatown or UES/UWS for that matter). The pork chop wasn't over cooked and chewy like other vietnamese places around and the Cha Gio fairly well done. I will be back to try the pho next time but my feet would most likely bring me back to Cung Ly...
