Pho Quyen USF area in Tampa - report

Having been to Pho Quyen in Pinellas Park several times, I was happy to see a branch open in North Tampa/USF which is a lot closer to my home in Brandon.

My brother and I each ordered the combination bowl of Pho Noodles. It had the sliced beef, tripe, and meatballs. Overall, it was pretty good but my only complaint is that the broth was not hot enough. It was just lukewarm. I make that point because I like to throw in the bean sprouts that come with Pho and the broth has to be hot enough to cook/blanch the sprouts.

We also ordered and split the grilled pork chops on fried rice plate. Excellent. The chops were well marinated and tender.

As far as waitstaff, I think the crew were all rookies. My water did not get refilled and our waiter forgot to bring out steak knives when he brought out the pork chops. Hopefully, these issues will work themselves out with time.

If anyone needs directions, they are located in the Kash N Karry shopping center on Fowler Avenue about 1/2 block west of Bruce B. Downs. That's the shopping center with the Chili's out front. They are in the spot previously occupied by Lucy Ho's Chinese(which I am not really sad to see go)
