I work in everett and while there are lots of great places to eat lunch nearby, the one thing I've always missed/craved was the ability to grab a banh mi at lunch. Trekking to chinatown has been done but after ending up with a $52.50 sandwich($50 parking ticket, 2.50 banh mi), that stopped. Went to pho hoa today and lo and behold they had a sign out front advertising banh mi for lunch.
At 4.50 the sandwich was a little pricier than I'd like but still a good deal. The amount of meat on the sandwich was more than what you would get in chinatown but less then on the bon mi food truck version. I got the pork and it came with seasoned grilled pork that had a nice char, pate, and the usual veggie accoutrements. The bread was perhaps a tad too crusty/hard for my taste but not by much.
This new sandwich combined with their excellen pho means that I'll be getting over to pho hoa more often.
