Thursday night...cheesesteak "wit" at Steve's Prince of Steaks on Bustleton in North Philly. Steak a little tough...served with good Cheese Whiz on a tasty torpedo roll. OK sandwich...3 of 5.

Friday morning..."brunch" at Carman's Country Kitchen in the Italian Market. Wonderful waffles stuffed with Cream Cheese and topped with coconut and Fresh Fruit. Carman is a trip! This place is a real treat. Highly recommended! (To stay "fresh" the limited menu changes weekly, possibly even sooner).

Friday evening...Django. Where to begin? Goat cheese gnocchi with tomato sauce and barbecued tips!
Lobster cocktail served in a citrus salsa! The cheese plate! Melt-in-your-mounth Bluefish with lentils! A stacked creme brulee! Nothing is simple here, we had to ask a lot of questions, but nothing was short of of excellent and the combination of ingredients payed off in ways I hadn't thought possible. A truly great meal, worthy of all the hype---for $50 a person with wine, tax and tip!!!
We'll be back!!! Most recommended!!!
