Thank you to all who responded to my posts.
After agonizing, I have come up with a loose plan. My family gets into Philly in the early evening. Coming off the plane, we'll be tired and hungy and a little fussy. So Friday night, we'll head to Dmitri's. (Although I have a res at Brasserie Perrier that I will have to cancel). I read the menu- and I wasn't in love.
I looked up Matyson on citysearch and think they are closed Monday. (I'll check again). So,Monday the fam and I head to Striped Bass. (I hope it's still good). I went there years ago for my college graduation and my father has been dreaming about it ever since. I personally wanted Lacroix--- but what can I do?...
I also plan to get pizza at Tacconell's and have some lunch near the Penn campus. I think the venues are a little more upscale then when I was a student going to Beiing 3x a week. Matyson might be an ideal lunch- or possibly something else...?
If anyone has anything positive or negative to say about the Bass- I would appreciate it. I can still change it up.
I'm so happy to be coming back to Philly!
