Philly Paella?

Bob Loblaw | Jun 26, 2013 06:05 PM

Hey folks -
We were hoping on getting some good restaurant paella and wanted to know what people had come across.
The only time I can remember ever having paella at a restaurant in the area was at 19 Bella, in Skippack - which was good, but only a mini-paella, and we're more inclined to head into town than out to the distant burbs..

I've seen paella on the menu at Jamonera; has anyone tried it? Reports?
Also, Valanni has it, though I know nothing about the restaurant.
Amada has it on the menu, and I really like Amada but I don't get the aioli-with-the-paella thing. (Garces Trading Company's website lists it as a 'specialty' there but it's not actually on the menu; when I called to get the scoop, the guy there admitted that they should probably change the website).
I'd been told Bar Fedinand had it but by the time I finally got my b*tt there it was off the menu.
An earlier thread mentioned Sophia's, about which I know nothing that I didnt' read in that thread - though it sounds good!
Any feedback on these different options? Anything I'm missing?
