We live in DC and are visiting Philly this weekend with kids aged 7 and 2. Kids are adventurous eaters, so cuisine isn't a limitation. Real impediments are: all adult patrons, quiet settings, white tablecloths, etc. We are hoping to find a place that we (the foodie adults) will enjoy without feeling uncomfortable. Hopefully the 6pm dining time will assist that.
Would appreciate any recommendations. We're staying at th Omni at Independence Park, so something within walking distance from there (but not necessarily right there) would be ideal.
Would also appreciate any thoughts on:
--great cheesteaks in the area for lunch. (We typically have hit Jim's, and love it)
--great diner-type place for Sunday breakfast.
Thanks in advance!
