I would like to say thanks to all of the Philly chowhounds who gave me valuable advice about veggie eats in Philly. My husband and I took a day trip to Philly on Saturday and had a fantastic lunch at Hoa Sen Vegetarian restaurant. We started with summer rolls and spinach and tofu soup. I enjoyed the pan fried "shrimp" and my husband ordered the Mongolian "chicken". All of the food was fresh and delicious. The pan fried "shrimp" was THE best faux shrimp dish that I've ever tasted. The spinach and tofu soup was also fantastic. Thanks again for letting me know about this place, we will definitely try it again next time we're in Philadelphia.
