Philly Chowhound in town for the weekend, need one more dinner/lunch choice

I'm flying in to town on Friday and staying 'til Tuesday for the Saints game and to catch the BCSNCG in town. It'll be two of us, one Philly guy and one L.A. guy. We already have plans for Galatoire's(Friday) and Jacques-Imo's Cafe(Sunday) for dinner, but I'm looking for one more place. We both LOVE Cajun and Creole food, so definitely want the place to be in that style, however I wouldn't mind alternative options to look at that are unique to New Orleans. I was hoping to find somewhere a bit lighter on the wallet than our two choices so far. Not quite a dive, but not something quite as expensive. I was looking into Crescent Pie & Sausage Co., but I'm not quite sure that's a good choice, and I would love some help. We likely won't have a car, so preferably somewhere within a cab ride, and even more preferably in the French Quarter.

Also, being a huge LSU fan, I was hoping to find a good place to watch the game Monday night; again preferably downtown, but maybe not on Bourbon St. because that will likely be a mob. Thanks in advance!
