Philly Cheesesteak Rant

Ally1111 | Mar 23, 201710:18 AM     37

First online rant but felt so strongly about my disappointing lunch, I had to share with fellow food people.

Our corporate cafeteria offers a Philly Cheesesteak and most times I've had it, it was pretty good. (I'm also a native Philly girl and now live in the Southwest). The sandwiches are ready-to-grab, wrapped in foil, warm and comforting!

Today's sandwich was made with Swiss cheese, which has NO place on this sandwich. It was a bad mix. Philly's are often made with American, whiz, provolone (my pref) or mozzarella. The Swiss was so off-putting, I love Swiss on a French dip sandwich or a Reuben, not a Philly Cheesesteak! Then the roll - freezer burned.

I love food so much and look forward to endulging and when bad things happen to good food; I don't want to overreact, but I get so disappointed. Anyone else feel this way?

Hope you all are having a much more satisfying lunch today ;)
