Philippe revisited

Dear Members of the Board:

I deeply, humbly and contritely apologize for my previous posting re. this venerable institution, Philippe the Original, Home of the French Dip.
Only my profound ignorance could cause me to walk into a place without first requesting Your expert advise and counseling.
As Your replies to my previous posting wisely indicated, single dip lamb is the way to paradise. I'd go so far as to equate it with the paradigmatic Langer's Pastrami on Rye -similarly learned of at this Board-.
The sides of potato salad (good), pickled egg (excellent) and pickled beets (wonderful combination of vinegary vinegars and sweety sweets), coupled with the nose cleansing house mustard (yes, this time I found it on the tables) made my day. Even took home a $3 mustard jar. A glass of house red (she said Burgundy; oh well...) enhanced the whole experience. Last but not least: excellent lemonade. Total bill for 2, including tax: $18.35
