We drive in from Philadelphia for a matinee series at Lincoln Center. We park our car there for the afternoon - expensive, but convenient.
However, we like to take it out when the opera is over, because otherwise we have to pay for the next shift of parking.
Our problem: where can we go for dinner where there will be street parking?
So far, we have gone to the upper East Side (Bistro du Nord, Pascalou, Luca) and along Park Ave and 5th Ave in the 20's and 30's - (Via Amelia, Svenningsen's) -the area around 27th and 8th (Gus's Figs Bistro)and farther south (Capsouto Freres). We enjoyed these places and were able to find parking.
As you can see, we are looking for moderately priced restaurants.
We find the Village, Soho, and the Upper West Side a problem for street parking.
So New York Board - any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
