Phat Burrito's - Charlotte

Jibe | Aug 18, 200406:31 PM

Living here in Charlotte, I've read about a lot of great places to eat, both upscale and hole-in-the-wall type eateries. Don't remember reading about Phat Burrito. Its on Camden Rd. within sight of of another favorite, Price's Chicken Coop. My wife & I have eaten lunch there sevral times, today being the latest. We've always loved the salsa's, and saw them roasting peppers and tomatoes on the grill for making their own. The decor is definitely down-scale, but the food is great for such a little hole-in-the wall - lunch is always booming. The burrito is really meal in itself. The soft tacos are great (chicken, steak, or veggie), and my wife loves the spinach quesadilla. I'd like to know if any other 'hounders have tried the place, and what your opinion is. (and no, neither my wife nor I have any connection with the place, other than meeting there for lunch fairly often)
