Petite Crevette opened on Hicks between Union and President (where the little Moroccan place used to be)We ate there last night. Neil is behind the stove, serving up his usual fresh seafood.
The place is tiny (5 tables) and its BYOB. We all had (predicatably) fish--Monkfish, halibut and wild Ecuadorian salmon. The fish is displayed in a little glass counter. Each dinner is served with julienned vegetables (carrots, zuchinin, onions, green beans) and mashed potatoes. The fish is served with several shrimps that were very big and tasty. My husband got an appetizer of sauteed mushrooms which was fantastic. 2 things that were a bit "off:" We were told once we sat down that the menu that is displayed outside the restaurant is only the take out menu but they will make us anything on it, but the waiter didn't give us the menu and strongly encouraged us to order from the list of specials posted on the the hanging display window above the counter (btw--its very hard to read) And it took an hour for us to get our food.
All in all I would recommend it--the fish was very fresh and although no surprises in the preparation---it all tasted very good.
