i just went to Pescatore on 2nd ave (49 & 50)yesterday for the second time in about a month. This place is starting to become a favorite of mine. I think all in all its great value (price, atmosphere, service and food). First time there i had steamed clams for an appetizer and chicken fettucine for entree. both were excellent. dining companions didn't have any complaints about their food. yesterday i had a red snapper filet with spinach and shitake mushrooms. very good. also have good size private rooms that would be good for large groups.

note: i wouldn't neccesariy call myself a chowhound but i really enjoy dining out and this is my first attempt at contributing to this site. i've gotten some good tips here and wanted to return the favor. can anyone verify my thoughts on this place?
