On a visit to the Cape this weekend, I took my extended family to the Persy's Place in Mashpee -- an abundant and delicious brunch, as one would expect. On a Boston(ish)-related note, the menu stated that the Persy's in Kingston is being rebuilt after a fire in March and is expected to re-open by the end of this year.
For the unitiated, Persy's is a local chain (of sorts -- they claim not to be a chain but a set of family-owned restaurants -- I think they're up to five) scattered around the South Shore and Cape. The restaurants vary slightly in atmosphere but all offer an immense and wonderful breakfast/brunch/lunch menu including notably spectacular rich grilled cornbread.
* apologies to all if I'm stretching the outer limits of Boston *
